LION

(With apologies to Tony Wilson’s Elephant in the Room)

There’s an elephant in the room,
And an emu in the hall,
A wombat in the attic,
But that doesn’t worry us at all.

There’s a pelican in the parlour,
An echidna on the wall,
A goanna in the garden,
But that doesn’t worry us at all.

You know why we’re not worried,
Why we sleep so well at night?
Cos the lion in the laundry,
Will eat them in one BITE.

The frogs are croaking,
In a nearby creek,
It’s been polluted now,
For nearly a week.

Cataclysmic

There’s more than one way to skin a cat,
There could be a thousand, imagine that!
Let’s start with the one in the red stripey hat,
The maybe we’ll find more, rat a tat tat.

Appeal Explained

A potato has a peel,
A banana has one too,
I don’t know at all about me,
But I’m more than sure you do.

Life in four lines

We are born in company,
And die alone,
In between we try,
To find a home.
